The Common Information Model Object Broker (often known as the CIM Information
manager or CIMOM) brokers CIM objects between a number of sources and
destinations. A CIM object should be a representation, or model, of
a managed resource, such as a printer, disk drive, or central processing unit
(CPU). In the Pegasus implementation, CIM objects are represented
internally as C++ classes. The CIMOM transfers information
between WBEM clients, the CIM Object Manager Repository, and managed
resources.
